Faculty of Administrative and Accounting Sciences

The applicant for the Accounting Sciences Degree must meet the following requirements:

  • Having completed the Paraguayan level of education or its equivalent national or foreign.
  • Accept the rules of the Private University of the East and in particular those of the Faculty of Administrative and Accounting Sciences.

The exit profile will be defined as the specifications of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that define the professional who graduated from the Accounting Sciences Degree.

The Public Accountant is the professional capable of performing in public, private and non-profit institutions, within the national, regional and international economic context with a social and humanistic outlook, the graduate of the Career of Accounting Sciences is prepared for;

  • Demonstrate ability to identify, pose and solve problems in the accounting, financial and tax fields.
  • Communicate adequately orally and in writing in the official languages and in another foreign language in order to perform efficiently.
  • Maintain a permanent commitment to ethics, quality and social responsibility in their professional and personal development, in their interpersonal relationships.
  • Develop critical reasoning skills, coherent and objective.
  • Develop an entrepreneurial, creative and innovative attitude to develop activities in public administration, private, consultancy activities or consultancies and Projects.
  • Develop skills that demonstrate their capacity for abstraction, analysis and synthesis in matters of control and auditing.
  • Be able to formulate, manage, participate and develop projects related to accounting systems, cost systems and budgetary systems.
  • Demonstrate skills and abilities to adapt to constant changes in the business and professional world.

For this purpose, the Faculty of Administrative and Accounting Sciences of the Private University of the East proposes that, at the end of the career of Accounting Sciences, the graduate acquires the following:

Generic Competences
The graduate of Accounting Sciences should be able to:

  1. Communicate sufficiently in the official languages of the country and another foreign language that allows them to develop national and international business strategies in a globalized world.
  2. Use information and communication technologies to analyze, evaluate, interpret and project information about the business environment.
  3. Identify, raise and solve problems related to the recording of accounting operations.
  4. Possess the capacity for abstraction, analysis and synthesis, promoting sustainable development to adapt to new and changing situations.
  5. Ability to function autonomously and work in multidisciplinary and inclusive teams in the search for the improvement of the quality of life.
  6. Apply knowledge about financial markets and its operation for analysis and formulation, manage, participate and execute projects.
  7. Understand the concepts of law in civil, corporate, labor and tax matters.
  8. Apply all the new technological tools in your work environment.

Specific Skills
The graduate of Accounting Sciences should be able to:

  1. Verify, evaluate and propose adjustments within the accounting process.
  2. Handle electronic and computer media to record the information, as well as the techniques necessary to validate the information contained therein.
  3. Possess knowledge to design, plan, implement, control and undertake research and / or projects in all areas of accounting - including environmental and forensic audit for the formulation of proposals and/or recommendations.
  4. Be an expert in accounting and auditing, in the financial, fiscal, environmental and forensic areas.
  5. Know and apply the complete National Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) such as the IFRS for SMEs and those of the public sector NICSP, both those in the area of accounting and auditing and the Standards of Quality Certifications.
  6. Providing economic financial information to evaluate organizations as a basis for decision making with social and environmental responsibility.
  7. Advise in business, providing the entrepreneur with prospective information to prevent and adapt to new economic-financial scenarios in a globalized economy.
  8. Analyze, interpret, generate and provide accounting statements, budgets and historical or projected cost systems, in all types of entities, be they public or private, for economic or social purposes.
  9. Apply different communication strategies to express ideas and concepts through linguistic, mathematical or graphic representations.
  10. Apply concepts to conflict situations to generate reports on civil, corporate, labor and tax issues.
